We’re from out of town and stopped in for brunch after walking by. Great atmosphere. We sat right away and the owner came over and spoke to us. Our server was good but the additional interaction from Giana herself made it a memorable experience. The food was excellent. I got the eggs pomodoro and my wife got the pasta aglio.
Delicious menu with organic and farm fresh offerings. Then there are the pastries, on yet another level, with unique combinations of flavors as well as the traditional, nothing is average here. Shown: the scramble, chocolate croissant, espresso Bundt, and Orange swirl something or other but scrumptious!! Forgot to mention another highlight: house-made hot sauce. On the mild side but perfectly melded flavors, color and texture. Yummmm!
Had a great experience at Giana Bakery & Provisions last Friday! Even though it was a busy Friday and we showed up with a party of five and no reservation, everything was handled really smoothly. The place itself has a great vibe, and the food definitely worth the wait, I had the best pasta of my life that night :) I especially want to shout out the hostess, Melina. She was really sweet, patient, and helpful, especially with explaining the menu and making recommendations. Even though everyone and their mom wanted to eat at Giana's that night she stayed attentive and did her best to accommodate us without making us wait like an hour to get seated, took probably a 25 min wait with no reservation, which made the whole experience way less stressful and no one was hangry. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure guests felt taken care of. Overall, great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Would definitely come back!
This was one of the best Italian experiences I've ever had! The food was delicious, and was fresh and hot. We had special requests and a little trouble, but the staff was very helpful and we figured it recommend. While quite pricey, was very wonderful. Very recommended: risotto al pomodoro with steak. Highly recomend.
Have usually gone here with two or three people. No matter what we have ordered it is always simply fabulous. The food is consistently very good, the service is outstanding. They have a nice wine selection as well. Highly recommended for very very good Italian food.
Gianna is hands down one of my favorite spots. The food is absolutely incredible every dish feels thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor, and you can genuinely taste the quality. The pasta is freshly made and perfectly executed, which makes such a difference. The service is just as impressive, with a warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly staff that makes you feel taken care of from start to finish. It’s that rare combination of amazing food and impeccable hospitality. Easily some of the best Italian food in all of Orange County. highly recommend!!
Food and service were exceptional! A few of is ordered the Fungo toast, which I would recommend. Other orders included steak & eggs, mushroom risotto, a frittata. Everyone loved their food. Our sever, Aaron, was great - very friendly and patient with our large group.
The shrimp pasta and the short rib dishes are amazing all handmade pasta and the service was fast even tho there was a line outside but we were seated really efficiently and got our food within 15mins
Great meal. Christiana was friendly, attentive and had great suggestions. The steak and eggs was good… the steak had a slight gamey taste (kinda like lamb) but the flavor and tenderness were solid. The mushroom toast dish was amazing. Pizza was solid. French toast was just ok. Overall good experience.
Definitely proof that an awesome server can and will a long waited dinner experience more than worth it! The restaurant was short on staff but our star Raven pulled through BIG TIME and was cheery, helpful and punctual throughout. Food? Awesome. We decided to go more the veggie side, broccoli and carrot dishes were super tasty and offered layers of flavor. Definitely the same for the Bruxelles. Oh my God, a mountain of flavor. We had to choose between swordfish and ossobucco for our main and picked the former. Wow, not just the fish was smooth, full of flavor and correctly prepared, the olives, tomatoes, potatoes and for sure tha sauce made it memorable. And then the cheesecake. Yum. Blueberries on top would be something I may be annoyed with, but again, beautifully balanced. Fantastic. Lastly, we had a bottle of prosecco for the table which added to the meal but it's not absolutely necessary. So yes, our worries about the long wait were valid and yes, make reservations at least one day in advance and you'll thank yourself later. And.... shout out to Raven to make our experience 10 out of 10.
